Toddlers

Toddler
Ages 16 months-2.5 years

In the "toddler" year, your child will focus on the following skills:

  • Gross motor- running, kicking balls, throwing balls, yoga, etc.

  • Fine motor- painting, practical life activities, puzzles, etc.

  • Language- being read to, teachers will talk to them in full sentences, reading picture books, etc.

  • Math- practicing size discrimination, sorting shapes, counting, etc.

  • Social- empathy for others, cooperating with others, etc.

  • Emotional- spacial awareness, self awareness, confidence, independence, etc.

Twos

Pre-K
Ages 2.5 years-3.5 years

In the "Twos" year, your child will focus on the following skills: 

  • Gross motor- dressing themselves, gardening, catching balls, moving through obstacle courses, etc.

  • Fine motor- drawing/painting, tweezer transfer, bead stringing, etc.

  • Language- being read to, naming classmates, applying grammar in speech (tense, plurals, prepositions), correctly using pronouns (he, she), etc.

  • Math- tracing and recognizing numbers, completing simple patterns, counting objects, etc.

  • Social- holding a conversation, conflict resolution, taking turns, etc.

  • Emotional- personal hygiene, regulating strong emotions, controlling impulsive behaviors, toilet training, etc.

Preschool

Preschool

Ages 3.5+

In the "Preschool" year, your child will focus on the following skills:

  • Fine motor- cutting, lacing, painting, etc.

  • Language- tracing sandpaper letters, letter recognition, rhyming, writing letters, building words with the movable alphabet, letter sound recognition, etc.

  • Math- simple addition, coin sorting, counting to 20, writing numbers, etc.

  • Social- greeting people, resolving a group conflict, building rules for games, etc.

  • Emotional- developing methods for coping with strong emotions, showing pride in self, putting self to sleep or skipping nap entirely, etc.
